PART A – General Terms & Conditions

  1. Acceptance of Terms
    By accessing or using www.onlineaccounting.lk, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, and any guidelines or policies published from time to time. These terms apply for the entire duration of your enrollment as a student of OnlineAccounting Learning (Pvt) Ltd. If you do not agree, you must immediately discontinue use of the platform.
  2. Eligibility & Minimum Age
    Users must be at least 16 years of age to register. If a user is below 18 years, registration and use must be done with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. Parents/guardians are fully responsible for the minor’s activities, payments, and compliance with these Terms.
  3. Registration & Account Responsibility
    You must provide accurate, complete, and updated information during registration. You may register under A/L Category or Other Category as applicable. Each account is issued strictly for one individual user only.
  4. Prohibition of Account Sharing
    Account sharing is strictly prohibited. One account may only be accessed by one student, using: One computer and one mobile device, not simultaneously. Sharing login credentials, using multiple devices simultaneously, or allowing third-party access constitutes material breach.
  5. Password & Security Obligations
    Passwords must contain at least one capital letter and one numeral. You are solely responsible for maintaining confidentiality of your credentials. OnlineAccounting.lk shall not be liable for losses arising from unauthorized access caused by your negligence.
  6. Permitted Use
    Access is granted solely for personal, non-commercial educational purposes.
    • You shall not: Copy, record, download, reproduce, distribute, sell, sublicense, or modify any content
    • Attempt screen recording, data scraping, or system circumvention
  7. Payments, Refunds & Taxes
    All payments must be made in advance. All payments are strictly non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-exchangeable under any circumstances. Any applicable government taxes, levies, or charges shall be borne by the student if and when applicable. Cash deposit verifications may take 1–3 working days.
  8. Access Period & Expiry of Content
    Access to videos and materials is time-bound and expires after the relevant examination date as per the published timetable of the relevant institute. Re-access for future exams requires fresh purchase. Transfers between batches or qualifications are not permitted.
  9. Content Upload Schedule
    Content may be uploaded weekly, fortnightly, and monthly based on academic planning and operational discretion.
  10. Intellectual Property Rights
    All content, including videos, notes, exam questions, branding and logos are the exclusive intellectual property of OnlineAccounting Learning (Pvt) Ltd, protected under the Intellectual Property Act No. 36 of 2003. Any infringement constitutes a criminal and civil offence under the Intellectual Property Act No. 36 of 2003.
  11. Monitoring, Suspension & Termination
    OnlineAccounting.lk reserves the absolute right, without prior notice, to suspend or permanently terminate accounts for: account sharing, copyright infringement, misuse of platform, or violation of these Terms. No refunds shall be issued upon suspension or termination.
  12. Security & Prohibited Activities
    In exchange for being granted access to the Platform, you agree not to engage in any activity that is intended to, or may reasonably be expected to: damage, disrupt, disable, overburden, or impair the operation, integrity, or security of the Platform; interfere with or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform, servers, databases, user accounts, or networks; introduce viruses, malware, ransomware, or any other malicious code; bypass, disable, or circumvent security-related features or access controls; engage in conduct that causes or may cause harm, loss, or injury to OnlineAccounting Learning (Pvt) Ltd, other users, lecturers, or any third party. Any violation of this clause shall constitute a material breach of these Terms and may result in immediate suspension or permanent termination of the user account, without notice, and without prejudice to OnlineAccounting.lk’s right to pursue civil or criminal remedies under applicable Sri Lankan law.
  13. Technical Responsibility Disclaimer
    OnlineAccounting.lk shall not be responsible for interruptions due to power failures, internet issues, device malfunctions, and data limitations. Students are responsible for ensuring suitable devices and connectivity.
  14. Telegram Groups & Communication
    Telegram groups are subject-specific and moderated. Removal from groups is at the sole discretion of management. Lecturers are not obligated to respond to all messages.
  15. Promotional Use of Student Achievements
    By enrolling, you consent to use of your name, image, results, or achievements for promotional and motivational purposes, without additional compensation.
  16. Right to Modify, Remove, or Discontinue
    OnlineAccounting.lk reserves the right to modify or remove content, suspend features and discontinue services without prior notice.
  17. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
    These Terms & Conditions, the Privacy Policy, and any dispute, claim, or matter arising out of or in connection with the use of www.onlineaccounting.lk, including but not limited to contractual, tortious, statutory, or equitable claims, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. The parties hereby irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Sri Lanka, and specifically the courts exercising jurisdiction in Colombo, for the resolution of any dispute arising under or in connection with these Terms. The user expressly agrees not to object to such jurisdiction on the grounds of venue, forum non conveniens, or otherwise.

PART B – Privacy Policy

  1. Types of Data Collected
    We collect immediate and background data, including but not limited to: personal data (name, DOB, sex, age), NIC/Passport details, citizenship and address, contact details, educational and professional records, usage data, IP address, cookies, tracking data, employment, NDA, bonus-related information (where applicable).
  2. Use of Data
    Personal data may be used for: account management, academic administration, legal compliance, marketing and promotional communications, internal analytics and service improvement.
  3. Data Retention
    Data is retained indefinitely. Data will be deleted only upon a valid request by the user, subject to legal retention requirements.
  4. Data Sharing
    Data may be disclosed: to service providers under confidentiality obligations, when required by law or court order, or during corporate restructuring or asset transfer.
  5. Cookies & Tracking
    Cookies are used for: authentication, analytics, and improving user experience. Disabling cookies may limit functionality.
  6. Facebook Login Integration
    We collect only Name and Email for authentication purposes. No posts or extended access are made.
  7. Third-Party Links & Services
    We are not responsible for: external websites, advertisements, or third-party tools or integrations.
  8. No Warranty & Limitation of Liability
    The platform is provided "AS IS", without warranties of accuracy, fitness, or uninterrupted access. Liability is excluded to the maximum extent permitted under Sri Lankan law.
  9. Data Deletion Rights
    Users may request deletion by: editing their profile, or emailing the support team. Requests are processed subject to PDPA No. 9 of 2022.
